Announcing a major chapter in UK-India educational collaboration

The announcement of our new campus in Bengaluru was made in May 2025, at a high-profile event in New Delhi where the Honourable Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, formally handed over the letter of intent from India’s University Grants Commission to Vice-Chancellor Professor Tim Jones. This was followed by a launch celebration in Bengaluru, near to the site of our new campus.

Whilst launching the campus, University of Liverpool senior leaders also signed memoranda of understanding (MoU)s to explore future collaborative opportunities with companies and organisations including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited, YouWeCan, Wipro Limited and Axis Bank.
